Diocese of Beaumont-Sacred Heart Parish, Raywood, TX & Our Mother of Mercy, Ames, TX
The Diocese of Beaumont’s Sacred Heart parish located in Raywood, Texas, and Our Mother of Mercy Parish located in Ames, Texas, have carried on proclaiming the Good News and sharing the missions and teachings of the Catholic Church using the generous grant funding received from the Black and Indian Mission Office. So far, the funds awarded to these parishes have allowed them to plan and implement a celebration for the installation of a new pastor at both parishes. Transitioning leadership roles within parishes can sometimes be difficult for congregations, especially after a long-term assignment. A celebration such as this one allowed the congregation and its new pastor to come together as one, welcoming a new chapter of leadership for Sacred Heart, Raywood, as well as Our Mother of Mercy, Ames. Opportunities to celebrate changes such as this one promote an easier transition for the congregation, as well as the pastor, allowing them to get to know one another and inspire positive rapports between them. This inspiration will increase the vibrancy and life of the parish as a whole, establishing new and lasting connections that will carry it forward for many years to come. The Diocese of Beaumont’s schools, parishes, and ministries will continue to use the generous grant funding awarded from the Black and Indian Mission Office to continue disseminating the Gospel Message to all of those in our community.
